Educational Qualification

The candidates who want to appear for the UKSSSC Forest Inspector Exam should have the qualification of 12th class in agriculture or science stream or an equivalent degree from a recognized board.

Age Limit

According to the eligibility criteria of the UKSSSC Forest Inspector, the candidate should have a minimum age of 18 years along with a maximum age of 28 years. Reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, and PWD have some relaxation in the upper age limit as prescribed by the government and the rules of the state of Uttarakhand.

Physical Requirements

Unlike other exams, the candidates who wish to appear for this exam will have to appear for the physical efficiency test (PET)and physical standard test (PST). And for this test, the candidate should have minimum height, weight, and chest measurements as stated in the rules. The measurements vary on gender basis.

A male candidate should have a minimum height of 163cm and a chest of up to 5cm. For a female candidate, there is some relaxation of height required i.e. 150cm and chest measurements are not applicable for them.

Experience Required

For the post of Forest Inspector under the UKSSSC board, no minimum experience limit is set for the applicant. It implies that the aspirant who has no work experience is also eligible to apply for the exam.

Nationality

Only the candidate having the nationality of India can apply for the exam. No refugees or other residents are eligible for it.

Moreover, a citizen from any state is worthy enough to appear for the exam but the commission or the higher authorities can ask them for some documents as proof.

  1. The candidate can be from Nepal or Bhutan.
  2.  No refugee will be allowed to appear for the exam except those in India since January 1962.

Exam Pattern for UKSSSC Forest Inspector Exam

To become a forest inspector, the aspirant will first have to appear for the exam. The exam is conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Written Examination

The written exam for the post of Forester consists of multiple-choice questions and is of a total of 100 marks. It would be of two hours i.e 120 minutes.

For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded and a negative marking of 0.25 will be adjusted for every incorrect answer.

Stage 2: (a)Physical Standard Test

The aspirant who gets qualified in the written exam will have to appear for the physical standard test. The commission will test his/her physical measurements like height, and chest as prescribed above. 

Stage 2: (b)Physical Efficiency Test

Thereafter, a physical efficiency test will be conducted for the candidates. Both men and women aspirants will have to show their stamina by racing for different kilometers within a certain time limit.

  • Male: 25kms in a maximum of 04hours
  • Female: 14kms in a maximum of 04hrs
